Why bother? Take a Break

Labels: , , , , ,
What you do when something is not going your way and every passing minute piles up huge load of crap on your head? Take a break - if possible, a long one.

That's what I had done yesterday when I thought I was being bothered by something that was very trifle. It is very rare that I get bogged down, and even if down, would come out of the situation very soon. But, day before yesterday was an exception and as time passed a few small things started to get big on me. By evening, I slowly started to behave as someone who lost everything. Suddenly I realised that it would not help me in any way but would just aggravate my pain.

So, got back to home after office, told my grandmom that I would not go to office the next day and posted the previous post and went to bed thinking about how to spend the next day.

The next day - woke up late, completed daily rituals, went to temple and prayed to god to give me strength and courage to move ahead, went to my best friend's house (he is working nights these days), spent some time in repairing his old cot, came back to home, finished lunch, watched an English flick 'Transformers' along with him, spent some time with grandma and grandpa discussing about my marriage and brides, met my uncle and aunt, went to Spencers where I met my good old friend. We had a gala time till 8:00 pm, came back home, said bye to her, finished dinner and watched my favorite Mahesh flick Pokiri, recharged myself and went to bed.

Next day morning, I woke up and everything seemed alright and I was almost back to normal. Reached office a bit early, completed my final round of appraisal, infact a formal chat, and was back to work.

Still not completely out of woods but getting better with each passing second. The break helped me in achieving what I had expected both professionally and personally.

Seems a bit intriguing but that's how I work.

Usually, I suggest this method to my friends and people close to me often, and yesterday it was my turn to adopt it.

The way you adopted was really perfect, instead of mulling over your botheration. But, one should have that grit to overcome such situations, otherwise, n number of breaks, don’t work. Cheers to your accomplishment!

You already have a 'would be'? :o

Thought of correcting it today in the morning, but got immersed in work.

Bienvenido!
