Christian Comedy

I was going through an interview on Rediff on the recent attacks on Christians. In one of the comments, a guy mentioned a book by name 'Death of a Guru' by Rabi Maharaj. Curious to know the reason why Rabi Maharaj had embraced Christianity, I searched Google and got the abstract. The first incident which changed his outlook (in fact, read it as first seed of hatred towards Hinduism) was as follows:

"While vacationing at an Aunt's ranch, I had my first real encounter with Jesus. I was walking along enjoying nature one day and was startled by a rustling sound in the underbrush behind me. I turned quickly and, to my horror, saw a large snake coming directly toward me -- its beady eyes staring intently into mine. I felt paralyzed, wanting desperately to run but unable to move.

In that moment of frozen terror, out of the past came my mother's voice, repeating words I had long forgotten: "Rabi, if ever you're in real danger and nothing else seems to work, there's another god you can pray to. His name is Jesus."

"Jesus! Help me!" I tried to yell, but the desperate cry was choked and hardly audible.

To my astonishment, the snake turned around and quickly wriggled off into the underbrush. Breathless and still trembling, I was filled with wondering gratitude to this amazing god, Jesus. Why had my mother not taught me more about him?

Awesome! A fairy tale worth million dollars. I was on the floor laughing out loudly after reading the abstract. Guru (errr... Pastor) might have got influenced by age old Bollywood movies, tried to become protagonist and hence weaved a great storyline. I know all Christian stories are aimed at creating hatred against Hinduism and at magnifying Jesus, who in fact considered a representative of Lord Krishna. For more shit from the pastor visit

When you do that, please do read comment 1 just below the post.

From my side, a few straight forward questions to Indian Christians (once
Hindus):

1. If Jesus is the only God, how could civilization exist before Christ?
2. Why do you market your religion like a consumer product?
3. Why do you bring the money quotient into religion?
4. Even after getting converted, why most of you don't remove the Hindu caste tag from your name?

I think newspapers and televisions, which usually are after exposing fake Hindu Sadhus and con man, should try their hand to bring out various ways adopted by Christian Missionaries to convert people in the name of charity.

The whole efforts of Christians in India can be great marketing lessons for MBAs, and Philip Kotler can learn a few tips too.

Good post. But how did you come to conclusion that Jesus is a representative of Lord Krishna?

There are evidences showing that Jesus was a representative of Lord Krishna. In fact, Christianity is nothing but Krishna Neeti.

I don't agree with the Krishna Neeti part. These are basically hoaxes created by fanatic Hinuds. I never heard of this term Krishna Neeti before. Same applies to the 'Tejo Mahal' thingy about Taj Mahal. Lite leneka.

That said, I find this story of Baba Rabi Maharaj quite amusing. I think he was high on ganja or something when he had the 'realisation'. God save us from such dopers!

Yeah! debatable ones. But Rabi Maharaj story is just one among the innumerable stories printed by the Indian Christian press.

Bienvenido!

Enjoy reading.
