Sir, there are a hell lot of other genuine and burning problems that need your attention. One crore color televisions will increase power consumption and make people lethargic. Moreover, people require basic amenities like education, food and shelter, not ATM cards. If you heap the poor with benefits like free or easy money, bank balances, land, pucca houses, electricity, etc., you are making them lazy and indolent. They will refrain from work and try to depend solely on the tax-payers' income. Poor tax payers have to feed leeches like you and also the so called poor and down-trodden. It would be great if you teach them how to fish instead of feeding them with fish. Of course! a majority of government programs will not reach the real needy.
Your promises and the justification provided bring your election manifesto under the WTF category.

All in the game! Politics have never been a fair game, at least since we have known… they adopt some filthy ways. Parties like LOK SATTA (so far, so good. I hope it maintains the same values) have to be empowered by people like us. But again, as the uneducated and poor are in majority in our country, I am sure many people don’t even know that Lok satta exists… hmmn..India has a long way to go.
Hey! Let them at least get these amusing stuff which they would not get otherwise.. once the new government comes into force, they will be the first forgotten lot. Anyway, their lives will not see a sea-change*. For those underprivileged, it’s a good opportunity! :)
*sea-change - which is actually essential for Indian politics to grow against all external forces, for ex. eerie conditions imposed by US on developing countries like India for their supremacy to continue for decades to come :), just to get over their insecurity. :)
