2009 was one of the finest years for me personally.

I restarted my professional career after a brief hiatus. Bagged two employment opportunities during global crisis, not a bad achievement at all. I carved a niche for myself with my first employer and left the company on a high. Also, it was a pleasant surprise to rejoin my old colleague.

My brother left for the US on his second company assignment and is expected to come back in November this year, unless I tie the knot earlier.

I joined my current employer in September, at the behest of my old colleagues. Great to be back with them.

My cousin landed at my place while hunting for a job. She has settled here giving me and grandparents great company. Dad completed five years of working away from Hyderabad, but the sad part is he's taken my mom along with him.

My best friend got married and will be a proud father this year. Unbelievable! This guy along with a couple of other close friends have upgraded to four-wheelers. Congratulations folks!

Found new friends and bequeathed some. I would like to add a few more moments here, but would like to share them personally. Doesn't sound interesting!

There were a few troughs too, but I don't want them to trouble me here too.

All in all, it was a fruitful and eventful year. I thank God for the beautiful year and hope the year ahead too will be wonderful.

Things have been pretty hectic during the last few weeks. First it was the magazine release and now preparations for a 10-day tour to Delhi to take part in the prestigious Auto Expo 2008.

First, it is a good feeling to have my name opposite Editor in my Auto magazine. I am very lucky to have been appointed as editor, just after 9 months of joining the company.

I am not personally very satisfied by the way the magazine was brought out. Time constraints, one of the magazine designers going on leave as his daughter was not well, finalizing the in-house article till the last moment, hell lot of corrections pending even during the last day, delay in receiving advertisement copies, working on holidays, etc. just vexed me. Nonetheless, with the support of my colleagues, I could bring out the magazine just before time. From this time, I will ensure that everything will go according to the script. On the other hand, it is a great feeling that my team has contributed 7,000 USD to my company's balance sheet through selling advertisements.

When I joined this organization, I felt that a bit of enthusiasm, excitement and color would do wonders to our products and the company. The same has happened. Old water paved way to new and young drops. Though inexperienced, highly talented. Supported by Ashok, our MD, we began our journey with only sky as the limit in September 07.

Since then, a guy who has never taken anything seriously in life, has been entrusted with a big responsibility. Though still struggling to manage his relationships with team members and other colleagues, he is doing alright.

The new year has started out very well too. I am participating in the Delhi Auto Expo 2008 and would spend about 12 days in cold weather. This is a much needed break and would refresh me (might also weaken me). I am applying for the ISB HYD (very very very tough to get through at this moment, given the professional responsibility). Seems a pretty exciting 2008 with loads of work and a huge chance to move up the career ladder. OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOh! I might as well get married.
